My initial impression of rats was not that great. I honestly was really scared to pick one up. I was actually able to hold my rat, but only because I made myself do it the first time I saw it. I have held my rat probably a total of three times since being allowed into the lab. Yes and no my impression of rats has changed. It has in the sense that I was not scared to hold my own rat, but I think if I were to see a random rat on the street I would still freak out. I named our rat Cheez-it because I first thought of cheese when I saw the rat and then Cheez-it came to mind.
